Are manufacturers simply exempt from laws, by virtue of having built something? Can they impose their will on others, and have the law prevent any kind of push back, by that same virtue? Items are treated as still belonging to their manufacturer, and buyers are reduced from owners to mere users.
Non-negotiated contracts should be unenforceable. (Note that software is already also separately protected by copyright law.)
I in many jurisdictions, including the EU [1], they are. Perhaps the CEOs should be handcuffed and arrested when their plane makes a stop in one of them? That's how other criminals are treated.
