How do you hover on mobile?

Back in the good ol' days, that is 2018, I had this Galaxy Note 2 with a little pen. When hovering the pen over the screen, it would create a cursor under it and trigger onhover events when moving it around just like a desktop cursor.

I could open hover menus on mobile from 2012-2018 when not all sites were adjusted to mobile yet.

It was glorious.

Still works in all the newer Samsung devices with an S-Pen, even in some regular apps, where you get to see e.g. button tooltips when hovering. This little stylus is what makes me stick with that brand, admittedly.

The BlackBerry Classic from 2014 worked this way too. It had an optical trackpad that controlled the focus, except in the browser where it was an actual pointer.

If it's implemented at all, it's typically "long press", which, for my money, is about as counter-intuitive as it gets.
