A New York Lawmaker Wants to Ban Police Use of Armed Robots

I like the idea of unarmed or less than lethal robots in policing for some things like raids or approaching an armed suspect that is attempting suicide by cop. Removing police officers from that equation means that there isn't a threat to life/limb and armed suspects can be apprehended without having to kill them.

Still I can imagine how pant soiling scary it would be to have a spider robot capture you in it's legs or wrap you in netting during a night time raid. I remember seeing the video of that dog entering a house and pointing it's light at the occupants and they looked freaked the f out.

Make the "chain of command" sign a document authorizing the use of an armed robot. If the robot kills someone then everyone in the chain of command is held liable and charged as though they pulled the trigger.

this is one of those times where the robots would do a better job than humans.
