Not only is this extremely dangerous driving that should get Tesla banned in traffic it also makes me very very happy that touchscreen usage while the car is moving gives a point on you license here (three points and they take your license). Software updates like these should require a new state certificate before the cars are allowed on the road.
Certainly looks like the car is trying to get them killed. Not sure I'd call that "fully self-driving" just yet - not in an inner city environment anyway.
Full self driving is at least 5 years away. Only Elon musk believes otherwise (he believes robotaxis will be here in 2020 after all).
Full self-driving is just as likely to be 5 years away as actual AI, which has been '5 years away' since 1950s.
He believed that his cars would be self-delivering years ago.
It's not great, for sure. However I witness worse driving every day by humans on my commute to and from work.
According to Elon, they will be rolling this out to everyone who purchased FSD in the next few days. Which seems quite a bit early to me given that it still frequently tries to kill you (and others), although he claims the next update will be a big improvement.
