And you're right to, because they're mostly nonsense.

Also you are assuming that the recipients of those reports, the websites, would be truthful in their acknowledgement of issues and would not abuse their new power over researchers' reputations. Especially when each accepted bug leaves a permanent public record.

Right. Not to mention, what's to prevent an unscrupulous "researcher" from paying companies - or starting their own fake ones - to enter positive feedback, etc?

I don’t believe that paying for your reputation was what the poster meant. Blockchain can be used for basically “write once” non-alterable records that you can prove you “own” without any currency aspects. That is basic blockchain tech. However it would cost money to run the machines that managed the BC and people would not do that without an economic incentive so maybe you’re right?

Right. If you want to put things on the blockchain, you need to pay for the privilege somehow - mining blocks, executing contracts on ethereum, etc.
