Netflix weighs up crackdown on password sharing

"Netflix has previously said it was comfortable with users sharing their passwords" ... "Password sharing is something you have to learn to live with because there’s so much legitimate password sharing, like you sharing with your spouse, with your kids"

Since they already ask users to name the members of their household, how hard would it be to have different passwords for the different people? And wouldn't that be generally helpful and encourage good security practice?

Same for Amazon Prime, I believe.
