So many people are either pressed for time or incapable of preparing a decent meal. If they aren't ordering takeout, they're falling back on boxed or prepared options.

They will still murder and inhumanely treat animals.
At best a drop in demand will reduce the population size of future generations of cows. It doesn't fundamentally change how they'll be raised or treated.
This seems like a really impractical position. I'd rather we succeed than fantasize.
Is the goal improving lives or solving a supply chain problem in a scalable fashion?
This is just furthering our race to the bottom while we pat ourselves on the back and say we're the best.
We're seeing rising prices for food but the quality is in decline. Even if nutritious food was available to everyone, people are over worked, and have to little time or energy to prepare nutritious meals. They're opting for the fast/easy option every time.
