Compared to how much in traditional currencies? I would imagine less than a couple perecnt of global money laundering happens in cryptocurrencies.
:-\ approximately 0% of global commerce happens in crypto. criminal activity of a variety of kinds is an above average use case for crypto
Sure but every criminal in the world has access to it. If it was inherently superior at money laundering, money laundering would have very quickly shifted to crypto. But it turns out they use it just about as much relatively as anything else.
Several orders of magnitude more - but they paid the government for forgiveness, a bit like nobles used to buy forgiveness in the middleages :)
I don't think you're making the point you think you're making to anyone but idiots. At the very least the banks could be forced to pay any sum of money at all and their structures could be evaluated and attacked as needed. What recourse would the government have in a system that leaned primarily on cryptocurrency instead of banks?
