but the consequences imply something massive to me, which is the need to be able to iterate & improve & hack on things. every one of us is always getting a ton of things wrong, & it's ok, but we also need a human liberty to revise, address, try to improve our circumstances.
and in the age of cloud computing, with APIs vanishing & drying up, endless fear about data privacy often helping justify the removing more & more capabilities & access points & APIs, well, this ability to work through things, to keep trying to be adapting, in spite of the vast faultiness of everything about: it's dying. the death of accessible, personal computing, the rehmainfeamehization of all our computing systems, the lack of human at hand control: it's the bitter bitter regressive certain-heat-death-of-the-universe to the sincere & real truth offered here. the malleability, adaptability of the universe, our individual ingenuity & tenacity & adaptability is what makes civilization & humanity so great. and by gods we are losing it.
