Ask HN: How do I get better at setting up environments?

I am a junior developer and every time I start working on a new project I always need a huge amount of help to get onboarded. While I'm increasingly comfortable with coding when my environment is ready, I find it very hard to improve my understanding of setting up my environment.

Does anyone have any tips, courses or resources they know of to help me improve?
