Personally, I prefer Svelte. The boilerplate of a react app alone is a barrier to entry to somebody who primarily focuses on backend and/or systems programming. Svelte is easy to pick up with little experience with "modern frontend development" (whatever that means today), easy to understand, and easy to remember how to use after months of not working on some frontend thing.

Maybe it's not the tool of choice for somebody who is immersed in frontend development as their full time job, but it's really appealing to somebody like me.
