with the number of billionaires walking around, it probably can make a decent money as a tourist destination. Especially if there is an option to get down for a walk on the surface. Though it can become quickly at least partially outdated once one can just charter a Starship to make a quick long weekend trip around the Moon.

Just to clarify, are you suggesting NASA should make a lunar gateway so billionaires can walk on the moon?

Otherwise taxpayers have to fully pay for the station.

Or maybe don't build the station. Also, the way the US government is funded, printing money is paying for things, not taxpayers.

Printing money is paid for by people who hold US currency. More money created means diminished value of existing money.
