What features would you say make this more compelling than ActivePresenter [0] (Mac/Win) or ScreenFlow [1] (Mac)

[0]: https://atomisystems.com/activepresenter/ [1]: https://www.telestream.net/screenflow/overview.htm

ActivePresenter, in particular, seems to feature a lot of the highlights you mention on your website. I’ve been very productive with it for both videos and simulators. (It reminds me of Adobe Captivate)

Hmm...your marketing is a little deceptive. You claim that the $79 fee is a 'lifetime' payment, but yet you have to pay $39 every year to get the latest updates. That's a rather shady way to do things IMO.

Hi! You get one year of free upgrades. Afterwards, if you need access to a new version, you can contact us for a discounted price for upgrade. We are more than happy to understand the requirements of our users and find the best solution. For example, we can offer extended licenses for multiple years. Moreover, the current promotion allows you to buy licenses at half price.

Looks really interesting, I'll give it a try! Does anyone know what the major players are in this space, and how this one compares? I've wanted to record videos like this but never knew how to get started.

Thank you for trying it! ScreenToVideo is a screen recorder and also a video editor. You can use it either to record directly to .mp4 without any export time or to edit the video with transitions, annotations and more. Similar products do only one of this options and have higher costs. Please try it and let us know what you think.

Also, if you feel like you need some help to get started, please have a look at https://screentovideo.com/how-to/ or use the website/in-app chat.

I’m wondering if OBS Studio, an FOSS product, can be directly compared with this.

Looks interesting! I do lots of screen recording for my job, so I've been using ScreenFlow, Descript and a couple of others. How would you compare ScreenToVideo to ScreenFlow?

ScreenToVideo offers similar recording and editing options for Windows users. Please have a look at the features page (https://screentovideo.com/features/) to see if it suits your needs.

Looks pretty rad. Does it (or will it) integrate with Vidyard?

Hey! We haven't thought about this option yet but will consider it :) Please give it a try and let me know what you think. You can also contact me at atatomir@screentovideo.com.

Looks cool , but the pricing is a bit high for me.

Anything over 50$ isn't an impulse buy

Thank you for your feedback! That is the price for a lifetime license with free upgrades and priority support. You can also try it 15 days for free before deciding if it suits your needs. We are also running a 50% off promotion. If you feel that $39 is still too much, don't hesitate to contact me at atatomir5@gmail.com.

How do I try it out?

You can download it for free at https://screentovideo.com/download/.
