I for one can't wait for stadia to sink.
But I’m curiously why you actually want them to sink.
If you consider it as a product it's a failure.
And people are bashing Google, Stadia is just a proxy. Google is the one who fucked up here, so it's not like they don't deserve it.
People were saying that goolge will fuck it up, since Stadia was announced. Google super-duper-pinky-promised that this time its different. And now we have this crap.
How are people supposed to feel ?
Or should they be in awe since on paper its amazing ? Execution is what matters in the end.
For a demo, it's pretty good, I use it everyday, I haven't been limited in my use. Actually, I could not play AAA games with my current set up, now I can, on whatever screen I want. Reading you, I'm not sure you've actually tried it. Also, it's cheap.
As for the bashing stadia as a proxy to bash google, that's exactly my point, people seems to gain satisfaction in bullying behind their keyboard, it's annoying. Google is not perfect, but their products are really good, get over yourself.
Stadia should pivot to CAD. Hear me out!
stadia solves the technical challenges of running graphics intensive software on the cloud and streaming it. They are even doing it at a price thats currently competitive with gaming.
Stadia could be so much more! imagine if there was a cluod based design and prototyping system like fusion 360 completely integrated into google cloud. Engineers are used to paying a premium for spftware. they already pay a minimum of $60/month for fusion 360 and it only goes up from there. You log in and create your ideas. Collaboration is built in just like fusion = 360 but synced to your google drive. from google docs, you can import your cad into diagrams.
need generative design, simulations or plugins? Present a python api that you can interface from colab!
The margins are much higher and autodesk/solidworks desperatly need the competition
Right now, you can achieve that using colab notebooks, but it's definitely not easy as it could be: https://github.com/donmahallem/colab_blender
