World's ‘solar and wind capital’ freezing due to snow

That's ... wrong? The only reports about people being cold inGermany were when parts of cities lost district heating but this was heat coming from conventional plants. Solar and wind power generation are lower than usual, but nobody is freezing here.

The article says that wind is actually producing more than average. Generation by every other source is impaired.

Also Texas's power grid isn't well connected to the outside. So they can't import enough power to make up for it.

And it's much colder with more snow than usual. Texas is experiencing conditions more typical of the upper mid west.

The article I read was almost non-existant. It contained a few paragraphs with wrong information about Germany dealing with winter and not much else. I already suspected that it might have been cut off but I did not want to lower disable my blockers just to find out.
