Boston Dynamics' Spot Robot Is Now Armed

"Boston Dynamics' Spot Robot Now has an Arm" may be a better title? My initial thought was that they'd strapped an assault rifle to him.`

Please call up sales at Cyberdyne Systems for a quote on weapon attachments.

Stupid clickbait title for IEEE.

What a title. I'd expect the ieee to be more serious than this.

Suggest OP add (Not Weaponized) to IEEE's terrible title.

This is an unconventional verbing of the noun “arm”.

A title more reflective of the article’s content would be “Boston Dynamics’ Spot Robot Now Has an Arm”.

tl;dr: Title is clickbait.
