Hacker News Comment Saver is a Chrome web extension that enables you to save and manage your favorite Hacker News comments.

All data is stored locally, no tracking (not even Google Analytics), no sign up, no hassle! It just works!

Features available:

- Dark mode! - Tagging - Add notes - Export all saved comments as .csv file - Open in stand-alone tab for better viewing experience - Search saved comments by tags, notes, author, title and content

FYI it seems the URL you posted is for the "related" tab in the Chrome Store. I was originally confused cause there wasn't any info shown about the extension.

The question that you should try to answer is why should someone use your extension over HN built-in favorite feature (I don't mean to be rude but I personally don't see why I would want to install this).

Ah, sorry about the confusion. Orz I would say it supercharges the built-in favorite feature, the more favorites you have, the brighter it shines.

That said, I completely understand what you're saying. When I was building it, I thought it's a great idea, now looking back, seems I solved a problem that doesn't need to be solved, lol.

Well, I had a good time coding it out, and also learned a lot about building browser extensions, so not total waste of time. XD
