Ask HN: Infinite-canvas-based notes system?

Infinite canvases seem to offer a lot of potential for navigating information. I think there are many cases where it'd be easier to find some information based on its location in a visual space rather than its logical position in some hierarchy or other organizational system. Infinite canvases are a common feature of lots of drawing, diagramming, and note-taking applications, but I haven't come across anything which intends to serve as an information organization system.

Has anyone used an application where an infinite canvas is used as a navigational tool for a database of information?
