Meant to say AMD isn’t a stranger.
It needs a good editor. Then there is the fact it is from early December 2020.
The NT lineage of Windows has worked on PPC, MIPS, Alpha, IA64, x86, x64, and ARM. I’ve personally used it on all but PPC and MIPS.
Where Microsoft is likely behind is in instruction set adaptation, where the last strong effort was with DEC with FX!32.
However, they’re back in the game.

I'm confused whether they accidentally wrote "Intel" instead of "AMD", or if those two M1 competitor chips are something other than the AMD ARM chips mentioned just before.

So I’m guessing they meant to say “AMD”. It needs a proofreading.
I guess there was nothing about ARM on CES?
