The last thing the United States needs is to hand the Executive Branch any type of authority to say what is real and what isn't. Especially given that they already have Executive privilege and classification authority already. A "Department of Truth" will fundamentally always be at odds with the actual interests of the populace. People must get better at info vetting, just like how it is increasingly inportant that people understand networking fundamentals today. You and only you, can safely be held responsible for data hygiene.
