Why is science so polarizing? Blame the way we talk about it

From one of the videos of Sabine Hossenfelder [1]:

> Science does not say, "You shouldn't pee on high-voltage lines", it says, "Urine is an excellent conductor"

and I just love that quote. By constantly going "listen to the scientists" we actually create the impression of proper research and scientific knowledge being just another opinion.
