Grabb-It wants to turn your car’s window into a trippy video billboard (2018)

I am working on the software right now for a system that drives an single-row LED light strip mounted on the side of a car (e.g. right now the "data assembler" that solves all the symbolic references to store data structures in AVR8 program memory)

I'm expecting to attach it to the car in spring when the weather is better and I feel like messing around with adhesives.

I haven't seen it done before but I think that the ideal viewer would see my car light up like one of the holographic police cars from "Psycho-Pass".

I've thought about putting a bunch of light strips together in the back of the car so I can have a sign for tailgaters (e.g. show a dot matrix animation of the hatchback opening and some barrels coming out); that one is a lot more trouble because I'm not sure if I can make it so I can see out the back when I'm driving. Maybe putting a cluster of cameras on the roof would let me see out back OK but I don't know if the police would agree.
