or Option C: we continue to complain so public opinion can change thus creating enough demand for alternatives and then we leave google to die. We get the law, no need to bring it up every chance you get. All these BigCorp white knights aren't doing the public any favors with your wet-blanketry.

I am in no way defending google. Fuck google. I don’t use google to the greatest extent of my abilities. I’m defending a private entities right to free speech. I’m a white knight for the constitution and if you’re American, you should be too.

Public opinion should change and we should have alternatives; but as long as google and amazon hold monopolies on internet infrastructure option C can’t happen.

We shouldn’t be mad at google policing their own content- we should be mad that theyre the one of the only games in town.

yes. I want as little govt intervention as possible. But nobody is calling for govt intervention here. we want public sentiments to continue to fester so we can be rid of google the natural way—competition. Your calls for defending company speech seem out of place. The article clearly talks about building alternatives.

I’m sorry but I think if you believe that google can be cancelled by public opinion you are out of touch with the economic and social reality that we are in. I would be happy to be wrong, however.

Then what's your solution? you want govt censorship? they have rights! you should read the constitution.

Have you been reading any of my comments? These companies shouldn't be allowed to hold monopolies. Amazon shouldn't be able to remove you from the internet. Google shouldn't be the only advertising platform in the world. The solution isn't to take away these private entities right to free speech and your solution won't work as long as these monopolies exist. I'm not sure how much longer I can repeat myself.

you never named a solution. you're just saying what isn't a solution. a.k.a. wet-blanketry.

We just want increased public outrage which will encourage (1) competition and/or (2) anti-trust investigations.
