Might be a better place to start reading about it.

This is much better than chatting face-to-face on Zoom, but team meetings mostly consist of someone sharing their screen while going through JIRA, a doc, deck, or spreadsheet. I'm not convinced screen sharing is as effective in 3D, which eliminates most meetings.

Yep part of the goal with Jel is to raise the bar on what kind of collaboration can be done beyond the "talk + screenshare" model.

If you imagine interacting with each other as you would in a video game, this can be a new category of meeting, with a rich set of archetypes. The screen sharing archetype can be one of many possibilities, albeit not one that is (to your point) particularly well suited since the existing tools do well enough with that use case. The hope is that the existing metaphors people are used to can just act as a bridge to enabling them to take more full advantage of the benefits of a fully spatial, mixed media 3D world.

This is seriously cool. I've been wanting to try gather.town for awhile, but this looks better... agree that some sort of screen sharing integration would be rad.

Thanks! You can share your screen. Hit slash and go to share screen.

Reminds me of a tweet I saw early in lockdown about people having virtual team meetings around a camp fire Red Dead Redemption.

I really like it. I didn't think I would, but it's good.

But - just like Hubs, SURELY the pan is the wrong way round, dammit? :-)

I can't wait for the day that business meetings take place in video games and not on the golf course

WASD does not work in Edge + private browsing. All other buttons do.

Does anyone have a bhop script for this game
