Put the same penalties for fake tests as you would for a fake passport and that should curbs anyone's enthousiasm for this sort of things.

Whether you agree with masks, stay-at-home, curfew and whatnot, boarding a plane while being infected is a sure way to spread COVID to people who will be in contact with even more people wherever they land.

The actual airplane is not seen as a high-risk place for spread of COVID due to the air circulation. It is more likely for people to spread the disease while waiting in the queues in the airports on either side.

This is a similar problem to the security line being an attractive terrorist target.

No it's not. Only people that have symptoms are ill, and only them have the vírus load that can infect others. No symptoms, no infection of others.

Source? Because a big talking point for the last 6 months has been that asymptomatic transmission was a thing and that's why "feeling sick" was not a good indicator of how contagious you were.

That's true for every disease caused by viruses. This one is no different in this regard. Just ask or hear from any honest doctor that has worked on the field, in Africa for example where ebola kills 40%, not 0.02% like this one.

It is not that they wanted to avoid the vaccine, it is just that this vaccine was very difficult to obtain in Eastern Europe, with only a handful of shots made available each year. Public health authorities around the world knew that some percentage of yellow-fever vaccine certificates would be fake, but this was not seen to threaten the overall effectiveness of vaccine requirements. I don’t see why the same can’t hold for COVID.

Make the test result include a unique identifier that can be verified by customs?
