I worked with a home automation company for a few years. The techs there who installed the cameras would check back in on homes with attractive owners using management access to find nudes. This is not news at all.
The news is that this one is being prosecuted.
Why the hell would someone get naked and have sex in front of a camera that has internet access?
It's not top of mind at the moment
To prove consent could be one reason
I'm pretty sure some people make a living doing exactly that.
