Cheap debt keeps companies on a ventilator.

Bailouts where cheap money isn't enough.

Regulatory capture.

Societal aversion to change.

Innovation replaced by Too Big To Fail. Tesla can't replace Ford and GM because Ford and GM have enough debt to take out a bank.

An actual market economy will produce innovation. America isn't one.
