There are working open source clients for OneDrive.
You can just encrypt the data you pump into OneDrive (or any cloud provider you don't trust) and just use it for quick online access and then sync everything into your local NAS/server.
I have my data on my NAS and I keep on Onedrive and GDrive only what I might need while around.
