Take what you will from it, but if the purging of opposition political groups and mass control of media sources (through shadow corporate ownership and willing partners) from 1930s Germany doesn't sound like what is happening in America today, I am not sure what to tell you. I maintain a neutral political mindset, but the failure to reflect on world history to give context to modern day events is a tragedy waiting to happen.

There are plenty of opposition political voices. We are very far from 1930’s Germany and this kind of comparison just weakens any argument for a reasoned discussion about what is going on with social media companies blocking specific groups. There has been one very clear parallel to 1930’s Germany for the last 4 years, seems to me you are completely missing it.

I am sure the Nazis told the Jews there are plenty of opposition voices (government controlled ones) as well in the 1930s.

Saw this earlier and had absolutely nothing I could add or detract from it, just one of those "well, uh, hmm, but" things.

They're a private country and can do what they like. If Twitter and Facebook don't like it, they can make their own Uganda.
