Private.sh: Verifiable Private Search
private.sh
private.sh
Private.sh doesn't have to be trusted. It encrypts your search on the client side, passes it to the search engine through a proxy which decrypts it on their end, performs the search, encrypts the results, passes it back through the proxy.
The search engine never knows the IP address of the searcher, and the proxy never knows what the searcher searched for.
But code can be introduced which sniffs the queries and learns your secrets. You would have to manually inspect the source each time you load the page to look for something fishy, which most people are not going to do.
