In what world would leaving an already weakened company without a CTO be a desirable outcome?

If he has not communicated his vision clearly enough for the company to survive without him, then he has failed. That world.

He’s not a CTO, his whole post demonstrates that clearly. He’s a floundering middle manager given a fancy title.

And they built the company without him. Pretty sure he’s unnecessary.
