On Pfizer and Moderna’s “95% effective” vaccines

Great write-up. I was highly skeptical of the claims of 95% efficacy. After reading this analysis of the data (and other literature) my suspicions have been confirmed. The public needs the raw trial data. Now.

Regulators are under immense pressure. We need the open-source / scientific community to be able to analyze the efficacy and safety of the vaccine in the raw trial data.

Why is this being flagged?

The author is the associate editor of the BMJ, not just some rando on the internet.

I don’t see a flag?

It was not flagged when I first accessed the short article. By the time I read the comments, it was flagged. I vouched, so it became not flagged again.

But I think that too many flag->vouch cycles will keep it permanently flagged? I'm not an expert on how HN does these things.

The ways of HN are a mystery to me as well.
