HN appears to now redirect to the old thread when a duplicate URL is submitted

This is new behavior, yes? I know I've personally benefited in the past from resubmitting on a different day/with a different title. See for example [0] vs [1] one day later.

URLs also sometimes have new content or there's new context for discussion, or maybe people just missed it the first time.
