Article is from Jan 2019 so very OBE --not least of which are UK has a new Prime Minister and Brexit has [finally!] happened.

Is the NYT bashing the British?

Is it a pattern just to give the impression that the US is doing better because the brits are scoring some own goals?

In my opinion, it's not anti-British, but anti British upper-class
