2021 – The Year of Kubernetes on the Desktop

Hm, joke piece apparently. And I’m not even sure it’s well deserved. I get that k8s and night have been overused but its hype is not completely undeserved, a lot of people have done amazing work on and around it.

That been said, I’d honestly love an os based on k8s’ principles. Manage apps, configs, secrets, storage, peripherals using config files? Sign me up for the alpha release please.

Who not? I always dream the day that we will run Kubernetes on our desktops and even phones and IoT.
