Choose between Btrfs and LVM-ext4

btrfs is mentioned so roll on the "I had dataloss when I tried btrfs in 2010" comments

So fwiw, I have been using it on my personal machines for nearly a decade and not had any issues. That said, I am using the most boring subset of its functionality.
