Startup founders – how did you personally survive before getting funded?

Hey fellow startup founders of HN.

How did you survive (Pay for rent / home, food, etc) when you began your startup's journey?

Did you work a part time job or contracting gig while building your startup as well?

Did you work full time and build your startup on the side?

Did you live off savings / personal capital and bootstrap?

Thanks!
