Related: Facebook updated their app, and added the now-required privacy reporting to their App Store listing. It's... rather long.

The top-level view also doesn't paint a pretty picture for user privacy.

I don't know if Apple has done this, but it seems like it would be a really effective incentive, to put the "install" button below the privacy labels list. For apps with few or no labels, users can see the install button without scrolling. For Facebook..

I wonder if this will work. Facebook has certainly degraded the experience of things like business pages over time. I suspect many small business owners are aware Facebook isn't their friend.

I think many know Facebook isn't their friend, but they might consider it a necessary bitter-tasting ally. Most I know don't consider FB an effective advertising route, but FOMO takes over and they have to constantly invest in it.

Yeah, sorry FB - no sympathy for you here.

Wow, Facebook has got a lot of nerve accusing another company of abusing customer privacy.

The moment they hoisted the "defending small businesses" flag, you know they're full of it. Was that the best they could come up with to cover "people will notice how much we spy them"?

This just tells Apple users they're on to something.

I would never install any FB or FB owned apps on my iPhone or iPad. I'm not that daft.

Ugh what a tone deaf response no one asked them to make.
