Dr. Kory is faculty member in the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in the Department of Medicine. Previously, he was a faculty member at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Thoracic Society. Currently, he serves as medical director of the University Hospital Trauma and Life Support Center (TLC).

An expert on point-of-care ultrasonography, Dr. Kory co-authored a textbook on the subject that was selected for the the British Medical Association's 2015 President's Choice award for medical textbooks. Dr. Kory has also been named to the 2015-2016 Top Doctors in Madison List, was a semifinalist (2009 and 2013) for a Chest Young Investigator Award, was named as a "Rising Star" physician of New York City, and received a Teaching Attending of the Year Award from Mount Sinai Beth Israel. At UW-Madison, Dr. Kory has received the James B. Skatrud Teaching Award for Outstanding Teaching in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine on behalf of fellows in the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine program, and the Outstanding Off-Service Faculty Teaching Award from the UW-Madison BerbeeWalsh Department of Emergency Medicine.

I have never heard of Ivermectin before and I'm certainly not a specialist.

And I think his most compelling point is this: where's been the effort behind identifying effective repurposed drugs?

It does seem to be all focused on novel things, expensive solutions, etc.
