I'm a fan of glitch, trailer music, and symphonic and power metal; I've also recently been getting into Japanese rock thanks to a few anime openings. Some of my favorite artists are The Glitch Mob, Pretty Lights, Beats Antique, Hammerfall, Badflower, Celldweller/Scandroid, Helloween, Two Steps from Hell, Nightwish, Mili, and MYTH & ROID.

A lot of jazz fusion, jazz, classical music, all kinds of metal.

Stuff I'e been listening to a lot recently:

- Pat Martino

- Bill Frisell

- Allman Brothers Band

- Brian Blade, his album called Landmarks is an absolute religious experience

- Joshua Redman Quartet, with Brian Blade, Christian Mcbride, Brad Mehldau

- Oz Noy

- Symphony X, a lot of early Megadeth

I'm sort of a bedroom jazz/fusion guitarist too, so there's the usual guitar nerd stuff that's an everyday staple:

- Allan Holdsworth, Frank Gambale, Brett Garsed, Allen Hinds

- Older shred guitar music

I mostly share what I listen to on the platform I'm building too.

A lot from the 2010s era underground rap scene. A few metal subgebres, mostly doom and sludge and things adjacent to those, a little bit of various punk genres. Also like certain bits from the 90s alt rock scenes. I listen to a little bit of electronic music, though I’m incredibly particular on what I like there. Other than that I likely have few tracks from everything mixed in somewhere.

usually mostly classical but in an attempt to broaden my listening I've started listening to electronic music recently. I've found Gerald Donald very interesting. Drexciya, Dopplereffekt and all his other projects are cool and changed my mind about what the genre is like.

so cool suggestions in this thread but a little bit for prog rock punky stuff seems to be missing. favourites:

Hip hop/soul (e.g. Earthgang, Kaytranada, Solange, Kendrick Lamar, The Internet, Saba, Tierra Whack, Orion Sun), rock (e.g. Tame Impala, The Strokes, Beach House, Khruangbin, Crumb, SALES), and classical (e.g. Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven)

Adam Beyer’s Drumcode Playlist on Spotify. Amazing Industrial Techno that helps me work all day long. A great track from that playlist is “Chrome” by Layton Giordani

I listen to the sound of a ZX spectrum loading a game.

- James Ferraro

- 2814 / HKE

- Shiro Sagisu's soundtrack to Neon Genesis Evangelion

- Koyaaniqatsi soundtrack

- Devs soundtrack

- Under the Skin soundtrack

Liquid dnb, deep house, progressive house, garage rock, stoner doom metal.
