What are the characteristics of an innovative person?

I hear they also floss regularly and eat three square meals a day. These are meaningless blandishments, especially without any kind of negative attributes, things they do less or not as well. And what is the point of listing traits? Identification? Imitation? Admiration? What was I supposed to have learned from this?

The point of listing traits is to give the reader an idea of what characteristics are frequently found in someone who is innovative.

Listing these traits can be useful without including a companion list of traits that innovators don't possess. I guess the quality of being innovative doesn't necessarily imply weakness in other areas. Maybe you should put together a companion post, titled "Things That Innovators Suck At Doing"?
