I'm just astonished at the naivety of journalists.

Am I completely crazy or is this just a case of college admissions coaching?

None of these are the 12 year old going to college. It's five kids with some non-trivial accomplishments to their name.

It's all pretty fluffy for a week when we passed the 9/11 death threshold, but I imagine Time readers were looking for a little fluff.
