An important note: this only affects those in the USA - unless HBO Max expands internationally in 2021 - because:

HBO Max has not announced any plans to expand outside of the USA at this stage.

I just read[1] that HBO Max is coming to Norway at the end of 2021.

As someone outside the USA, I would love to support movie production by paying for a HBO Max subscription.

But since they refuse to take my money, I will have to put the funds towards a seedbox so that I, too can enjoy the latest movies on demand.

International distribution rights for all these movies have already been sold.
