I am not sure about this specific metric but based on my experience with government metrics you will be waiting until closer to April than January for those numbers.

Your experience is misleading you then. The CDC numbers for excess deaths are only a bit more than a week out of date: https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/excess_deaths.htm
