Ask HN: How to Start a Developer Blog?

I would say start writing and don't worry about what platform to use until you have about 5,000 words. Then, choose whatever platform the cheapest host offers and paste those 5,000 words into your first post(s). If you get hung up on stuff like "should I look up static site generators," you will never develop the habit of writing, which is the only thing that matters.

I'm looking for a handful of users to test Gurlic's article editor and publication setup. I'll throw in a free .COM (or equivalent) domain if you decide to blog on Gurlic.

Example post:

https://gurlic.com/homer/the-iliad-book-i

Custom domain post:

https://classics.wtf/the-iliad-book-ii

Publication:

https://classics.wtf

And the main site with communities/social:

https://gurlic.com
