That’s the kind of strategy that I would expect to find in an article titled “How to use Reddit to get your first users”.

For every meme like this there's probably a thousand that pretend to be this and fail miserably.

Reddit loves memes and the subs of fun/meme are super huge!

fishing for someone to ask about your product feels just as disingenuous as posting from a brand account but reddit slurps it up.

It seems different to me, because on subreddits plagued by self promotion, nobody will ask.
