I hope no one makes the old "The thieves got off with 3 MacBooks and 2 Apple Watches" kind of joke.
Long I I think that the "Activation Lock" will put a big dent in thefts like this. Basically, make the hardware unusable until it's unlocked by some Apple Store or an authorized re-seller.
