I see people constantly posting hyperbole that this is the most dangerous thing in modern times and yet can’t find any concrete examples of anything negative besides feelings.
And yet history is full of examples of dictators and oppressive regimes that suppress and control thought and communication.
Science fiction is full of mega corporations that foresee much of the same.
Is this really the society we want to live in?
I think some people are afraid of a candidate falsely declaring victory/fraud on platforms without moderation. Also, some of us have friends/family-members who are getting kind of weird over even the youtube conspiracy rabbit-holes.
It's really the logical conclusion of the "deplatforming" debate, but I don't see how it's is any different than 4chan.
