I have a launch day iPad I use for simple things like notes and recipes and e-mail, too. Love the skeumorphism. Too bad Safari isn't usable for much more than Wikipedia anymore, though.

You mean how to downgrade? There are guides out there. Apple released certain unsigned versions of iOS that you can install on old hardware.
Yes, we have a 2 but Safari is unusable.
