Sometimes i feel maybe people are just trying too hard to read between the lines, Especially when it comes to anything China related. Maybe it really is just the fact Chinese government wasn't comfortable with the asset/loans ratio that ANT is proposing?

I actually read the same thing just a short while ago: https://valueinvesting.substack.com/p/why-ant-financials-ipo.... The author states Ant would have operated by repackaging highly leveraged micro-loans in such a way that none of the risk would appear on anyone's balance sheet.

Wow. That sounds very similar to an event that really wrecked my life for a while. Some say that the 2007-09 crisis never really ended.

The comment that would have been a sibling to mine has been deleted. Said comment referred to the parent comment and their proclivity to engage on specific topics.
